10 Bit SDR to 8 Bit SDR
#1
Hello, I hope you doing alright

I have another question, I hope you don't mind asking you and thank you for your time spent before answering and explaining many things.

Problem:

I want to convert 10 Bit SDR to 8 Bit SDR and I wondering which settings should I use (probably not HDR to SDR tab right?)

I hope you can help me.

Best Regards

Usually nothing special is needed, you just need to set the encoder to 8bit output.
Depending on your content (mainly needed for anime/cartoon or foggy content) adding some dithering (deband or noise) will help to avoid banding which might be visible in 8bit.

Thank you but if you don't mind please tell me exact path in which that tab for encoder setting to 8 bits is located?

That depends on the encoder you use. Bit depth setting should be in the Base-tab of the encoder.
