First steps with Hybrid

Hola, buenas tardes.

If you use the google translator, please translate to English not spanish when posting here.

1.
First pop-up you posted can be ignored, it's due to a typo I made and should not cause any problems.

2. about a test encode: you could try the exprimental cut support (Config->Internals->Cut Support); make sure to read the tool-tip info.

Also for the future read the sticky titled: '[INFO] Infos needed to fix&reproduce bugs,..'

Cu Selur

Ps.: will send you a link to a dev version which should fix the typo problem in a few minutes via PM.

Phenomenal. I have turned out well. Thank you Mr. Selur.
But I had a mistake because it has gone out of my mind
Chroma subsampling: 4: 2: 0
and I want it to come out like this
Chroma subsampling: 4: 2: 0 (Type 2)
what needs to change?
And another question where is the x265 log of the file to see the encoder data?
Thank you very much and sorry for the inconvenience  Wink

Enable: "Config->Internals->Create report file" to get the part of the log I uspect you are looking for.

Where do you see this info? Never heard of yuv420 referred with a type declaration. Smile
Anyhow since x265 only offers to set "--output-csp" to a few settings (i400, i420, i422, i444, rgb) I doubt that what you want is possible.

Every perfect Mr. Selur has left me the log of the encoders and I know where to mark for the exit

Chroma subsampling: 4: 2: 0 (Type 2)

Ah, Type 2 refers to the chroma location Smile
-> Happy you figured that one out. Smile

Hi, I have a problem getting a .JSON file for a movie with HDR10+

I execute this first

ffmpeg -i "E:\AUDIOS\HDR10+.mkv" -vcodec copy -an -sn -vbsf hevc_mp4toannexb -f rawvideo - | hdr10plus_parser.exe - --verify

C:\Program Files\Hybrid\64bit>ffmpeg -i "E:\AUDIOS\HDR10+.mkv" -vcodec copy -an -sn -vbsf hevc_mp4toannexb -f rawvideo - | hdr10plus_parser.exe - --verify

1. you using hdr10plus_parser 0.2.4?
2. try whether it helpy to specify the output json file path
ffmpeg -loglevel quiet -i "input.mkv" -c:v copy -vbsf hevc_mp4toannexb -f hevc - | hdr10plus_parser.exe -o metadata.json -

Cu Selur

Ps.: Haven't really used hdr10plus_parser a long since I don't really have content for it and iirc there sill is no way to playback hdr10+ content on a pc

If I am using hdr10plus_parser 0.2.4.
But I don't know how to put the output path of the .json file
The route where I have the movie with HDR10 + is E: \ AUDIOS \ HDR10 +

This gives me an error

ffmpeg -loglevel quiet -i "E:\AUDIOS\HDR10+.mkv" -c:v copy -vbsf hevc_mp4toannexb -f hevc - | hdr10plus_parser.exe -o "E:\AUDIOS\metadata.json"

error: The following required arguments were not provided:

You properly set the output, but you removed the input. Wink
hdr10plus_parser.exe -o "E:\AUDIOS\metadata.json"
should be
hdr10plus_parser.exe - -o "E:\AUDIOS\metadata.json"
(notice the minus before the output)
to break it down:
  • hdr10plus_parser.exe: indicates the name of the program to use
  • -: indicates where the input comes from (here std::in)
  • -o "E:\AUDIOS\metadata.json" sets the output
My guess is that:
Before you only specified the input, and since you are feeding hdr10plus_parser through a pipe via std:in using ffmpeg it doesn't know any folder besides the one it resides in so it would try to write the output to the folder it is in. Since that folder is under "C:\Program Files" the program has no write rights to the folder it is in and thus can't write the output which creates the problem. By specifying the output to an existing folder where anyone can write hdr10plus_parser should be able to create an output file.
