RE: Esxi running macos For selur - Selur - 05.09.2020 yes. RE: Esxi running macos For selur - Selur - 13.09.2020 btw. seems can't make new builds since vmware wracked the vm. I shutdown the VM, made a snapshot and then only got that the vmdk file was damaged. So reverted the snapshot, but the issue is sill there. -> seems like I would have to setup mac os anew. :/ RE: Esxi running macos For selur - Selur - 13.09.2020 Okay,I
-> @ Adamcarter: any idea? Cu Selur RE: Esxi running macos For selur - Selur - 13.09.2020 Okay, using the app store and triggering the installation seems to work,... RE: Esxi running macos For selur - shijan - 13.09.2020 Can't suggest anything about VMtools, but in macOS you probably may need to turn off Gatekeeper again (Allow install apps from unidentified developers) by typing in Terminal: sudo spctl --master-disable And it is better to disable Gatekeeper turning back on automatically after 30 days by typing in Terminal: sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.security GKAutoRearm -bool NO RE: Esxi running macos For selur - Adamcarter - 13.09.2020 Sorry selur,i didn’t see these messages. Are you back up and running? Let me know. I havent used snapshots. I probably should. RE: Esxi running macos For selur - Selur - 13.09.2020 Got it working by going through the appstore instead of the system update menu. ![]() Cu Selur RE: Esxi running macos For selur - Adamcarter - 13.09.2020 Whew.... Glad to hear it because, i was worried. RE: Esxi running macos For selur - Selur - 13.09.2020 @Adamcarter: Do you have any experience with the snapshow option of vmware? I'd like to use it, but I'm a bit scared that it (again) wrecks my image. RE: Esxi running macos For selur - Adamcarter - 14.09.2020 I do not, and after your experience, i am a little afraid to use it. if you made a fresh vm with all the stuff on it, i’d just do a backup of the vm maybe on a 128gb thumb drive or something, i found this https://www.geekrar.com/take-and-use-snapshots-on-vmware/ https://www.intoguide.com/install-macos-catalina-on-vmware/ Developer stuff Metal Developer Tools for Windows are a collection of Windows-hosted tools, headers and libraries that enable developers using Windows machines to build their Metal shader programs/assets for deployment on iOS, tvOS and macOS. https://developer.apple.com/services-account/download?path=/WWDC_2020/Metal_Developer_Tools_for_Windows/Metal_Developer_Tools_for_Windows.exe Xcode 12 beta 6 https://developer.apple.com/services-account/download?path=/Developer_Tools/Xcode_12_beta_6/Xcode_12_beta_6.xip Xcode 11.7 official release https://download.developer.apple.com/Developer_Tools/Xcode_11.7/Xcode_11.7.xip If you can’t download these let me Know and i can host them somewhere |
