New install Crashes on launch. - hushhush - 05.12.2017 Just cant figure this out. Installed on a third computer. I know it's not the most recent version. But I tried that. Thought I'd try an older one. No difference. Fresh install win 10 +vlc +sabnzbd & a wireless driver. Thank you for your time. if it helps here is the last peice of text displayed below the icon while hybrid is loading: QSVEnc, Path: .\QSVEncC.exe Here is the basic windows error info: Fault bucket 1588604212729257673, type 4 Event Name: APPCRASH Response: Not available Cab Id: 0 Problem signature: P1: Hybrid.exe P2: 2017.10.3.0 P3: 59d3a5ac P4: StackHash_abdc P5: 10.0.16299.64 P6: 493793ea P7: c0000374 P8: PCH_86_FROM_ntdll+0x00000000000A0994 P9: P10: Attached files: \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WER827A.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml These files may be available here: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\AppCrash_Hybrid.exe_376df543e782559fce389c932248044807a6c22_eee675ed_0914974b Analysis symbol: Rechecking for solution: 0 Report Id: 60c1c2a9-cf97-4b26-a0bb-dc20e8b588fb Report Status: 268435458 Hashed bucket: e955a559f76ababa660bdb1d5c6a9ec9 RE: New install Crashes on launch. - Selur - 06.12.2017 Strange,.. can't reproduce this here. (Neither on my Intel Laptop or my AMD main system.) Does Hybrid startup if you remove the QSVEncC binary? RE: New install Crashes on launch. - hushhush - 06.12.2017 Yeah. If I remove that sucker, it loads. Running intel. btw Here comes the really stupid question... is it important? (im assuming it is.. otherwise it wouldn't be there =( ) Uggg. RE: New install Crashes on launch. - Selur - 06.12.2017 It allows Hybrid to use the Intel-on-Chip encoder. If you don't plan to use QSV (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Quick_Sync_Video) you can savely remove the file. This normally shouldn't crash unless your CPU drivers are for some reason not compatible with QSVEncC which normally only happens if they are seriously outdated. -> What CPU do you use and what drivers? Does it help if you update the drivers? Cu Selur RE: New install Crashes on launch. - hushhush - 06.12.2017 Intel i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40 GHz Using the drivers that win 10 installed. Let me try to find the cpu's box.. see if its a Krusty-Kake, Scaby-Step or whatever the heck they are calling these things.. hmm no box,no idea...last years iteration. anyhoo, downloaded the latest graphics driver for the chip, and of course... its alive!!! it works!! huston we have lift off! I bow before your supreme knowledge and intellect, thank you! RE: New install Crashes on launch. - Selur - 06.12.2017 Happy that worked out. ![]() Cu Selur |
