Helluh,
Is it common for mediaInfo not to display the framerate mode ?
If so, why does that happend ?! Even after recoding the media file (forced CFR), i can't find the frameratemode, despite of the advanced level of detail enabled 🤔 !

iirc. for most containers and formats mediainfo only displays 'Frame rate mode' when it's not CFR.
(note that this indication isn't always right)

Argh... i forget about the fact iam dealing with cumbersome *.ts containers 🤦♂️ !
Ts = pita to work with .. very slow seeking forward to name one comes to mind with *ts containers 😐 ..
EDIT: although, could have sworn, mediaInfo could read the framerate Mode from a particular *ts file in the past.. hence this thread with the question !

What mediainfo does (afaik) is:
a. it reads the first xy time codes from the container (this does not happen for all containers)
b. it then checks whether the difference between those time codes is constant if not the content is vfr and based on the collected time codes the min, max, average frame rate gets calculated.
(so if the xy time codes mediainfo looks at do not indicate vfr, cfr is assumed even if later time codes would indicate vfr..)
Since mediainfo changes stuff up from time to time, it might be that this behavior might have changed for some container&format combination.
