Wild guess: if you have a mask that covers what you want, you could use that mask to apply some bilinear filtering or similar,..

Sometimes the effect of the filter effect by mask can be too sharp.

Possible in general: yes
Does Hybrid have support for this: No, since it probably will not work as you imagine and it is probably rather complicated.
What you can try to use the Merge-option to lessen the effect of a filter.
