Crash when loading PAL MiniDV DV file on macOS Sequoia - StevieWonda - 14.08.2026

Hi Selur,

I followed your instructions and enabled Create debug file under Config → Internals. I did not change the debug level.
I can reproduce the crash when loading a PAL MiniDV DV file.

System:
  • Hybrid 2026.07.12.1
  • macOS Sequoia 15.7.7
  • Apple M4 Max
  • 64 GB RAM
DV file:
  • 720×576
  • PAL, 25 fps
  • yuv420p
  • 4:3, SAR 16:15
  • DV 28.8 Mbit/s
  • PCM audio, 32 kHz, stereo
  • two audio tracks
  • interlaced, Bottom Field First
The crash happens during the automatic analysis after loading the file.
The last messages in the log are:

starting auto routines for source number: 1

Scan order changed from to bottom field first

ASSERT failure in QList<T>::insert: "index out of range",

file /Users/selur/Qt/6.11.1/macos/lib/QtCore.framework/Headers/qlist.h, line 949

The material is actually Bottom Field First. I cannot say whether changing the scan order is the cause; it is simply the last logged action before the crash.

I have attached the HybridDebugOutput.txt as requested.

The crash is reproducible with this particular DV file.

Please let me know if you need a sample of the DV file or any additional debug information. I am not very familiar with debugging, so I may need some guidance on how to provide it.
