Dev 2026.08.18 version error - lostsnowboardvideos - 19.08.2026 Installed your latest dev version. I'm getting a "crashed waiting for vapoursynth named pipe to become ready" error when starting a job. Debug output attached. RE: Dev 2026.08.18 version error - Selur - 20.08.2026 The error happens if Hybrid can't access the named pip 5 seconds after its creation. The script seems fine: # Imports

(I did change a lot the last few days, but only in the Avisynth sections of Hybrid,.. iirc.) Did some small tests, but couldn't reproduce the problem so far. A. Try whether it helps to use a temp folder to a dedicated folder outside AppData. (maybe Windows Defender or some other virus scanner is causing issues) B. Does the Vapoursynth Preview work fine? C. Does it also happen with Hybrid_dev_2026.08.19-185814.exe ? D. Does it also happen with other source files? (Do you know which version you used before? Mainly asking to know whether this is really an issue with the named pipe usage, which isn't that old. It was added around 2026-07-11.) Will look at it some more after work. Cu Selur RE: Dev 2026.08.18 version error - lostsnowboardvideos - 20.08.2026 I think it had something to do with the antivirus scanning. I reinstalled the version I was using from July of last year and kept getting the same crash after I reported this to you. Uninstalled the entire program except for my settings and reinstalled everything and it's working now. Preview works. Did not try the 8.19 version. No issues right now. RE: Dev 2026.08.18 version error - Selur - 20.08.2026 Okay, thanks for the feedback. Cu Selur RE: Dev 2026.08.18 version error - lostsnowboardvideos - 21.08.2026 I've noticed my same settings run slower than they used to before the update. I was getting about 20-25fps output with preset fast and QTGMC slow. Now I get about 12-14fps post update and noticed the GPU is nearly maxed out and the CPU looks like it's hardly being used. Ryzen 5950 16 core, NVIDIA Gforce RTX 4060 Ti GPU. Recent Debug output also attached. Let me know if you figure out which filter is causing the problem. Cu Selur Ps.: especially try using znedi3 for nnedi3 or disabling opencl in the qtgmc settings (for sd content this is faster for me) RE: Dev 2026.08.18 version error - lostsnowboardvideos - 21.08.2026 Not sure this helps the discussion but the NNEDI3 resizer seems to be the biggest bottleneck. Is there anything to help this along in those tools or would using a different resizer be the best outcome? RE: Dev 2026.08.18 version error - Selur - 21.08.2026 QTGMC main bottleneck on SD content is the NNEDI3 choice, for me using znedi3 is usually the fastest choice. (on your system probably too) Cu Selur |
