Missing subtitles
#1
Hi, I've got a DVD content that was turned into .mkv with the use of Makemkv. The content has got subtitles but when I deinterlace the file the outcome does not have any subtitles. U can see my settings in the attached screen. Cheers.

Unless you enabled also hat Hybrid should automatically handle the subtitles when loading the source, the SubtitleQueue probably has no entries and thus Hybrid does not know that it should do something with the subtitles,...

What do you exactly mean by Subtitle Queue?

In the Subtitle-tab:

Hybrid will only do stuff, that is listed there.
For automation to pass-through streams, look under "Config->Automation->Passthrough streams".

There is something wrong, it extracts the subtitles and they are not present in the outcome. What am I doing wrong?

read: https://forum.selur.net/thread-3.html
provide a debug output, as described in the link, this way I can see what is happening.
(Debug output should start when loading the source and end when creating the jobs.)
Screenshots do not help.

Embed first = the first subtitle will be hard coded,...

Looking at the debug output, I see that
1. the SubtitleQueue has one entry
F:\temp\1_id_3_lang_en_default.idx:*,*:true:*,*:UTF-8:*,*:true:*,*:false:*,*:E:\1.mkv:*,*:true:*,*:false:*,*::*,*:false:*,*::*,*::*,*::*,*::*,*::*,*::*,*::*,*::*,*::*,*::*,*::*,*:false:*,*:auto:*,*:1:*,*:
2. Like configured the subtitle stream 'F:\temp\1_id_3_lang_en_default.idx' form that entry is embedded (= hard coded) into the video stream
=> seems Hybrid works exactly as you configured it
If you do want that the subtitle stream to not be embedded, but muxed into the container, do not enabled 'Config->Automation->Passthrough streams->embed first'.
