I tried replication this by
  • dragging and dropping two sources into Hybrid together.
  • checking 'Show All Data' for the frist source
  • Switching to ProRes, checking the Transfer Characteristics
  • Switching to the seconf source
  • checking 'Show All Data' for the frist source
  • Switching to ProRes, checking the Transfer Characteristics
=> the ProRes transfer characteristics were adjusted properly each time

I need a step-by-step on how to reproduce this (best with two small source samples to load and switch between).

i'm preparing a package...
(it's still there in 2026.07.05)

how to:
0) load the files from https://my.hidrive.com/share/r7q.1f0h.o

1) open "rotsampleoriginal.mkv" for input,

2) change processing video to "nvenc"
   - go into  the nvenc, check "av1", go to misc tab
   - activate hdr signaling
   - check values for light levels and master display data (taken from input)
   - uncheck the marks on "from input" (in order to preserve them for the next input file)

3) go to nvenc/color, see that the VUI data for primes, transfer, matrix and range are correctly recognised. nod in approval and move on.

4) open new input file "rotsampletarget.mov"
   - goto nvenc/misc, check lightlevels and master display data (preserved from last file), all correct.
   - goto nvenc/color, realise that transfer character sits at "undef", although it is present in the new source file (screenshot)

correct it manually, or suffer the consequences Smile
