By keeping auto adjust selected, I can't get the footage to fit 1920x1080 without stretching it. I can only get it to 1620x1080. Letterboxing it to 1920x1080 just adds black bars on the side. I want to zoom the footage in so that it fits the screen.
Here are some screenshots that I took in VLC using it's crop feature. Here is the footage before cropping:

Also, I think I should also clarify. Due to how laserdisc footage is formatted, the video file itself is in 3:2, while the footage is formatted for 4:3. Again, this is due to the fact that you're require to use the zoom function on your TV in order to fill the screen.
