- don't assume that setting which work on one source will work on another source.
- if the aliasing is caused by deinterlac-/ivtc-ing, adjusting the deinterlace/ivtc settings might help way better than applying antialiasing.
(https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=184791 was a nice example for this)
- try different antialiasing filters and don't just blindly stick with the default settings
- sometimes the only way to get rid of aliasing is to downscale and then upscale the source.
- sometimes it can help to use BasicVSR++ in combination with an edgemask, but that is probably the slowest solution.
- sometimes antialiasing needs to be applied on separated fields before normal deinterlacing to really work.
