Auto bit depth:
When enabled Hybrid will select the highest possible bit depth for the selected HEVC Profile.

Note:
This option is only available if the HEVC Profile is not set to 'None'.

Yes, while that option is enabled, when the profile changes to a profile that supports 10bit, 10bit will be selected.
If you don't want that, disable the option before changing the profile.

interface display expands when closing "tips"

Yes, if you disable the tool tip sidebar, the rest of the interface will expand to fill the space until the main window is redrawn.
If you move the window or restart Hybrid this happens.
I'm aware of that.
