yeah, i just remembered i didn't try other methods to add borders, ie crop/add border.
there is no need to add this if method from your screenshot is able to do it.
you mean 32bit vapoursynth? i was trying to find that, but that too seemed like a rabbit hole....ie locating vapour 32bit avisource support plugin.
i did find info it was inside (32bit) vapour, but was moved to plugin at some point....
looking at the supported codecs on your system, interesting that there is a 64bit version of this:

(most of these listed seem to be colorspace loaders, not compression algos)
i rather doubt someone will port 32bit vfw mjpeg codec to 64bit, but is there a way to "transplant" 32bit installation of that codec to 64bit os(10 or 11)? given that installer itself won't work on newer os.
it's dll itself and some registry entry, right?
