I just wanted to share something I resolved myself in case others have this issue. I am using Windows and had a previous installation of 2024.09.29.1. I upgraded to 2025.07.27.1 and all my existing jobs created in the previous version were crashing. The Vapoursynth Preview was not showing an error in the script but it was reporting "Failed to initialize vapoursynth environment". I then reinstalled 2024.09.29.1 and had the same errors, even on the old version.
I speculated it was because I had not uninstalled the previous version and I was indeed correct. My crash was caused by multiple versions of Hybrid installed over the top of each other. Completely uninstalling the old version and manually deleting whatever was left over in the installation directory the installing a fresh 2025.07.27.1 solved the problem.
