I assume you mean https://github.com/Selur/hybrid-vapoursynth-addon, right?

Now I'm stuck at the script not running, so I will try to work out how to fix that later.

The stops listed in https://github.com/Selur/hybrid-vapoursy.../README.md should work.
If you need help, share proper details.
If you already have Vapourynth installed, these scripts will not work out of the box. They assume a system without Vapoursynth&co.
