Selecting a folder for installation
#6
Thank you very much. I am glad you enjoy my Rick88888888 Youtube channel.

This Hybid stuff has given me a headache today: installing the recent HAVC version VapoursynthR72_torch_2025.11.01.7z also broke the only remaining colorization mode:
ColorMNet. I am now trying Selur's stuff from his experimental folder: versions Hybrid_dev_2025.12.27-101558.exe and VapoursynthR72_torch_2025.11.17.7z

UPDATE: The versions in Selur's experimental folder work in ColorMNet mode and also in Deep Exemplar mode: HOORAY!!
However, Deep Remaster immediately crashed with exit status 0. But I don't care, because Deep Exemplar is great.

So my earlier conclusion that some older Hybrid and HAVC versions are incompatible must be correct. Something Selur and Dan64 will hopefully look into.

Comparing ColorMNet with Deep Exemplar leads to another important conclusion: Deep Exemplar's results are much, much better! More consistency and color stability, brighter video and the reference frames are followed during a much longer time span! No ColorMNet for me anymore!

Tip: Switch "Normalize" and "Vivid" on and set the Preset to "slow" for best results. The "Weight" control has no use.
