https://forum.selur.net/thread-3.html explains on how to create a debug output.
If you find a way to reproduce your problem, create a debug output of it and I can probably help explain the issue.

In case the job (with it's sub-jobs) where you couldn't find the output file still exists, it should list what it did or didn't do and where I created files.

I know. I haven't upgraded because I thought I had a working setup _exclusively_ made to handle deinterlacing with demanding clients. Because it worked before today, I adopted the mentality "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I used to have issues with much older versions of Hybrid where it would show the splashscreen then never actually start.
If it happens again some day, I'll make sure to create a debug output. Because, when I started the program, I changed a few things from my defaults then basically click "transcode" where the file would be saved in "C:\Users\(Username)\Desktop\FolderName" or root of another non-windows drive (ie. D:\). So, that's why I'm totally lost as to why this even happened.
Another note is that Windows would create a shortcut file to the file in the "Recent" system folder where it creates such shortcuts for created and accessed files. Double-clicking it would say it didn't find the file and prompts if you want to delete the shortcut. I'm still trying to wrap my head as to why this happened at all...
