Okay, that is how it is supposed to work.
-> can't reproduce a problem -> won't change

I mean, in the past hybrid followed always the output path/folder to create and place the debug file.
An full reset wosn't needed to have hybrid creating an debug file in the output folder i have chosen , or automatically is assigned because of the option "output path to source"

Has that changed? 

Now, it seems you only can choose a new default path for the debug files just ONCE ☝🏽.  
Untill you reset all settings and restart all over again ..  ie: reset all, choose & save   !?
