"Custom->Insert before->ReplaceBlackFrames"
core.std.LoadPlugin(path="%FILTERPATH%/Support/vcm.dll") orig = clip # http://www.avisynth.nl/users/vcmohan/FFTQuiver/F1Quiver.htm neutral = core.vcm.F2Quiver(orig, fspec=[5,5, 250,250, 12]) # only the processing softening notched = core.vcm.F2Quiver(orig, fspec=[5,5, 27,140, 4, 5,5, 30,140, 4, 5,5, 33,140, 4]) notched = core.std.FlipVertical(notched) notched = core.vcm.F2Quiver(notched, fspec=[5,5, 26,114, 4, 5,5, 29,114, 4, 5,5, 32,114, 4]) notched = core.std.FlipVertical(notched) clip = core.std.Expr([notched, orig, neutral], "x y + z -") # notched + (orig - neutral)

Maybe tweaking the F2Quiver settings more can produce better results, but using F2Quiver is always 'tricky'.

Since it too seems rather smooth, the height reduction is probably the easier approach. Tongue
But thes two things (height reduction or frequency modification) is what I would usually try. (Claude or similar might be able to help here if one provides them screenshots)
