Tried to replicate:
  1. started Hybrid
  2. loaded a source
  3. set Filtering->Support to Avisynth
  4. enabled Crop/Resize->Picture Crop
  5. entered 48 on all sides
  6. started Avisynth Preview
Avisynth Preview showed a cropped image.
(same for Vapoursynth Preview and normal Preview)

=> can't replicate
