From my observation most problems caused by corrupted source files. Incorrerctly extracted VOB files, incorrectly trimmed/remuxed DV files, some portions of timecode or chapters in MKV files, some strange hidden audio tracks with random sample rate...
So if something don't works - first of all try if it works with another source file.
Also old Hybrid is rather buggy compare to upcoming 2020 version. VapourSynth and plug-ins where changed a lot from 2017 and so many options may not work as expected.
I can only recommend use legacy Hybrid with basic presets with trusted video sources and render to ProRes MOV or x264 MKV
I guess if next week Selur will add few more small bugfixes to Hybrid 2020 it may be usable ...
Placebo and Very slow presets are strange. They use some additional plug-ins and may cause problems.
I put MVTools v21 to last package because seems it works well. But you can try to download MVTools v20 here https://www.mediafire.com/folder/wvdlnja...vg8my3xf71 and see it it make changes for you. MVTools v22 and 23 produce error with Placebo and Very Slow presets (render starts but after some time it stop with error)
