Program exits with no warning when adding queue but forget adding audio content

1. load a file for encode
2. set audio processing as custom, and don't add anything in audio tab
3. click "generate" to create default output file name
4. click add queue, and program exits with no warning.
At step 3 if you manually input a file name then there will be a warning when you adding file with empty audio content to queue

Is there a way to do this without creating duplicate frames? It's an mp4 file, badly ripped from a 29.97 VHS tape of originally shot on film footage.

Media Info reports:

Frame rate mode : Variable
Frame rate : 23.976 (24000/1001) FPS
Minimum frame rate : 23.974 FPS
Maximum frame rate : 23.981 FPS

HDR10 to SDR conversion

Hi all !

Maybe this is a previously mentioned question ,but....
Today i have done my first HDR10 to SDR conversion using Tonemap(placebo). (TM function : spline,Gamut mapping is perceptual)
The resulting movie is absolutely satisfying for me ,the only thing is to make it a bit brighter.
How can i do this using Hybrid ? A step by step guide would be useful.
All Tonemap(placebo) settings are default ,only the mentioned ones are changed. All VUI values are changed to BT709 in SVT-AV1.
Am i miss something ?
Anyone can help me ?

SkyGo gives an error when Hybrid is running.

I use SkyGo to watch TV (Sky) in my office, and I have always known that it won't play anything when Hybrid is loaded as it reports that "software capable of capturing video is running"...

I accepted this one of those things.. And in truth, its frustrating as what I am doing with Hybrid has nothing to do with Sky.. I am only using it to compress some videos, but I can understand that Skys software could detect this and this as suspicious. So I just lived with it and encoded at times when I am not watching Sky.

I just had reason to use "Handbrake" and was surprised to see that Sky did not report an a problem when this was doing its thing, even thought it was doing almost exact the same thing that I use Hybrid for.. So I just thought it was worth posting here incase anyone has any thoughts as to possible solutions/workarounds to this?

I am not using Hybrid to do do anything relating to Sky or TV.. I am simply encoding some personal videos at the same time as I am watching TV..

Anyone aware of this limitation? And perhaps know of a way to fix it?

Vapoursynth not appearing in Hybrid UI / DDColor, DeOldify, HAVC not starting

Hi Selur, I'm trying to get DDColor and vsdeoldify working on CachyOS Linux (Arch-based).
My setup:

Hybrid 2025.11.09.1
VapourSynth R73 (installed via pacman/AUR)
Python 3.12.13 (installed via AUR as python312)
vsdeoldify 5.6.5 and vsddcolor installed in ~/.local/lib/python3.12/site-packages/
RTX 5080, CUDA 13.2, PyTorch 2.11+cu130
misc.ini has: pythonPath and vsScriptPath set correctly

Hybrid detects VapourSynth correctly (log shows "-> detected Vapoursynth") but then removes DDColor, DeOldify and HAVC during the VapourSynth tab initialization. No VapourSynth tab appears in the UI.
What does Hybrid check specifically to decide whether to show DDColor/DeOldify? Is there a specific file or package it looks for?

NTSC 29.97 converted to PAL VHS 25fps - back to 2398?

Back in the 1990s a number of US mail-order companies offered PAL copies of their VHS tapes, which would have been converted from S-VHS NTSC to PAL VHS via a Panasonic AV-W1. I've got a number of these tapes which are compilations of 35mm film trailers. I've captured them to ProRes and I'd like to restore them back to their original 23.976 progressive framerate.

As you can see from the attached sample, the poor standards conversion from NTSC to PAL has created a bit of a mess. What would be the best way of fixing these? I tried sRestore and saw a lot of dupe frames, and even some frames seemingly split into two via a jagged line.

Problems with de-interlacing

I've processed several 29.97 interlaced videos recently (originally shot on film), and have tried using both TIVTC and sRestore (Avisynth) to go from 29.97 interlaced to 23.976 progressive. However, MediaInfo is reporting the following on the processed files. Am I doing something so obviously wrong I've missed it?

Hello! I just updated to "Hybrid_dev_2026.03.08-182859" and noticed the message "Detected no AVX2 support" in the logs. I don't recall seeing that before. My CPU is an Intel i7-5930K and it does support AVX2 (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...tions.html). I don't believe AVX2 can be toggled via BIOS, and it is shown as an instruction via CPU-Z (shown in the attached screenshot). I've uploaded the debug output in a zip file due to upload size restrictions. Let me know if there's anything I need to do on my end to fix! Thanks for your time!

New to Hybrid - basic x265 encode abnormaly slow

Hi Selur!

I'm new to Hybrid and exploring it, looking for more flexibility with denoising filters and the possibility of using QTGMC with CUDA eventually, etc.
I've started with a very basic x265 CRF20 slow preset encoding on a 4K HDR/DV source, without any filters activated, nothing else, and I'm surprised to have ultra slow fps (like 1-2 fps...).
Even the projected bitrate is crazy high, like 28000-34000kbit/s. It was as if a placebo was selected!

When I run the same test with the same x265 settings using other tools like Staxrip or Handbrake, I get between 5-10 fps, bitrate 17000 kbit/s.

Note: I have a Ryzen 9950X3D + RTX 5080 - Windows 11,

Obviously, I'm missing something.

Do you have any ideas of what I could be missing?
