Disabling "Vapoursynth->Misc->Input->Prefer LWLibAVSource over FFmpegSource2" (and may be also "Vapoursynth->Misc->Input->Use FFMS2k instead of FFMS2", seems to help with the RAM usage (RAM usage is ~62MB) and also gives a progress indication during the indexing and thus might be a solution for your CropView problem.

Sadly I don't have much hope for the autocrop call.

Ps.: I also tried some ffmpeg builds not compiled by me, to check whether it is a compilation problem of the ffmpeg version that comes with Hybrid. All of them reported "Invalid data found when processing input".
