NVenc has no x265 option anymore?

Greetings.

I've just downloaded the 2020.07.17 version and when selecting NVenc as your video processing option, there's no codec to select anymore. Before you could select x265 and now it default sadly to x264.

Is this change intended, I haven't seen it in the changelogs?

Latest NVEncC needs newer drivers.
-> tray updating your drivers (and clear the tool cache, afterwards)

Ps.: H.265 is a format. x265 is a known encoder for that format. NVEncC never used x265.
