Help box, resize method
#1
Crop/Resize > hover over Resize method.
Help box.

http://svn.int64.org/viewvc/int64/resamp...rnels.html is 404, site gone.

Can be found at https://web.archive.org/web/201606041946...rnels.html

BTW, I ran some test encodes, wasn't liking the default bicubic spline, too many jaggy edges when downsizing H264 source 1280x720 down to 720x406. Bilinear is far less noisy. Some of those have really ugly artifacting!

Personally I prefer gauss when downscaling or nnedi3 when upscaling.
I fixed the link in the tool-tip info.

I guess that I need to try the Avisynth resizers, instead of the Crop/Resize tab.

You know, then only thing missing in the Avisynth tabs is AddBorders.
This would probably fit fine on the Frame tab. Maybe Line tab. Or Other.
For both Avisynth and Vapoursynth.
I think that'd solve 100% of my issues.
Then I could use those within Hybrid, no scripting needed. And I could change the order as needed.

Can you, please?  Big Grin

Add borders = letterbox in the Crop/Resize-tab
-> not adding it additionally to Avisynth or Vapoursynth tabs, same for resize width/height and crop. Wink
