Esxi running macos For selur
The dev tools don't help, but thanks for the thought. Smile
I'll probably try the snapshot option later today, just to know for sure whether it's borked or not. Smile

Dev versions are in the 'experimental'-folder of my GoogleDrive, which is linked on the download page.

Can you explain the dev stuff you need? Why they arent installing?

i might be able to help.  But i dont know the problem too well.

Oh ok, you need these tooLs mac compiled.

got tools which are used in Hybrid which I can't update:
rav1e, used for AV1 encoding
mencoder/mplayer, used for DVD Input and the normal Preview
opusenc, used for opus audio encoding
oggenc2, used for ogg vorbis audio encoding
sox, used for audio filtering
and some others
main problem is the Mac OS community isn't really about sharing tools and so unlike for Windows you either need to use something like brew (not happening) or compiling all the tools manually.

I will get meatwad on them at once, and anything that doesnt compile i will speak to the Developer. So will shijan. We will get this cleared up.

In the mean time, forget about mac side of things, take a Mac-vacation, once we get working versions of these tools we can revisit.

problem is since there's:
a. no script that builds all the tools and is maintained to be able to build all the tools when they are updated
b. there's no one providing pre-compiled up-to-date versions of the tools for mac
So you have to compile them yourself, which means you have to
a. figure out how to setup a build environment for each tool
b. build the tool
c. package it so that all the dependencies of it are together and can be used on a mac
I doubt speaking with the developers will help much and I doubt l33tmeatwad wants to maintain up-to-date versions of all the tools.

Meatwad is compiling deprecated stuff right now for archive purposes.

That translates to “hey i’m bored, i have compiled 100+ plugins and tools, let me look for deprecated stuff...”

I will relay the urgency.

I spoke to the guy who made vfreq and vmod, he was very apt to make his code more universal and mac compatible, they will be others. Pretty soon macs will all be arm, and us mac people will have to buy a pc anyway for all Of this

Meatwad compiled sox already i thought for catalina. Does something not work?
