does it means that X could be -1 / 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 ?

and, does this affects how resizer works? how?

Yes, values from -1 to 3 are valid.
Thus does only influence the was Hybrid itself is represented/scaled. Thus does not influence any of the source processing.
