[HELP] vob mux to mkv or mp4 by hybrid got problem
#1
there is a DVD here that can't remux to mkv by PgcDemux or makemkv,

when import .IFO in PgcDemux, it can't process.

And when using makemkv, the exported mkv file is not full, missing the last 30 minutes. so i have to try to use Hybrid to process.

i select the "DVD input", Video and Audio set to "passthrough", but the exported mux MKV or MP4 got problem, picture and audio is not sync, and when i selected "FFmpeg instead of MP4Box" in Config - containers, the exported MP4 first half part is sync, but the last half of it is out of sync again. there are two episodes in this DVD, the first episode is OK now, but 50fps when playing, it shoulde be 60fps, it's a 29.97fps 720×480i DVD. and the second episode in MP4 is still out of sync.

i merge all the VOBs to a single VOB, the merged VOB is very good, no out of sync, and has all three audio tracks and subtitles. i try to using hybrid to mux the merged vob to mkv or mp4, but export file still out of sync.

so how to solve? can i send you the full vobs and ifos? about 4.2GB

Sounds like your DVD is broken.

Quote:so i have to try to use Hybrid to process.
Have you tried mkvtoolnix?

Quote:i merge all the VOBs to a single VOB,
vobs are meant to be max 1GB, if you merge the files another container should be used.

Quote: i try to using hybrid to mux the merged vob to mkv or mp4, but export file still out of sync.
Try mkvtoolnix instead for muxing to mkv.

only as a last option.

tried mkvtoolnix?
yes, tried. export mkv is still out of sync.

i merged all vobs to a single 4.07GB vob file, it's very good, has all audio tracks, and all subtitiles. without out of sync, no problem.
but when i try to import it to mkvtoolnix to export, the exported mkv is still out of sync.

send you full samples by PM.

Yeah, remux is here async too.
MPlayer reports tons of errors when decoding and processing the video.

Remuxing the video to an mpg file also creates async output.

Seeing that PVA Strumento reported a delay fof 280ms I used this delay in Hybrid during the remuxing.
Output is still async. PVA Strumento also remorted 891 ms for the second and third audio stream at the end.

-> May be using some mpeg2 repair software can help with this.

Sorry, but Hybrid will not be able to help with broken input files.

yeah, as you said, there are some errors on it, indeed, the TV series DVDs, only this one got problem.

but why the single merged VOB file got right video and audio stream? if the merged VOB can be good, i really want to find the way to process.

send you the merged VOB by PM, merged.vob, 4.07GB, can you help to research, thanks.

I have no interest in trying to fix broken files.
Sorry.

but i don't know why the merged VOB is not broken, it is right both video and audio streams. but i really need it a mkv or mp4, but exporting by mkvtoolnix or hybrid, the exported file is async. don't know how to solve.

PVA Strumento reported tons of errors, like I posted you should try some software designed to repair MPEG-2 streams.
You could also try: Remuxing each vob on it's on using mkvmerge and then trying to merge the mkv files.
