So, for example, one eac3 that plays and one you created and does not play?
Do they have the same sample rate, bit rate and channel count?
Cu Selur
Yes selur
I have kept as much as possible original ... except for the bitrate ofcourse ... i can't put an custom number in it ..?? The original bitrate is 1664/kbs 48/khz 8 channel / 6 channel (Bluray disk) (Dolby digital plus) say media info !
EDIT: the same thing happend when i try to encode it through ffmpeg.. Furthermore, when i leave everything at default setting in ffmpeg i get the error "one paramater is incorrect" when i hit encode.. And that parameter seems to be "channels" !! at default is 7.1 , since its an 8 channel track according to media info.. And as soon i change it to 5.1 it succesfully encodes but still NO sound in players , THE SAME ORDEAL
I suggest you DL that sample for inspection selur. To try and reproduce this issue !?
Diz duck would be VERY SURPRISED if your Onkyo set would bitstream that → the NEW encode i mean ... !
Cheers

Update i.e Encoded EAC3
@selur,
It doesn't look good from what i have read regarding this eac3 issue !!!
Appearantly, e-ac3 tracks that original comes from bluray sources, can't be bitstreamed once re-encoded ! Only the core (AC3) can be bitstreamed
Well damn, i thought sony Cinavia protection wos bad
cheers,
