[HELP] Job CRASH due to: Indexer didn't create: ...

I remember using virtualdub 1.9 but it could not offer any HuffYUV codec for capture.
So I used Virtualdub2 which offered HuffYUV v2.1.1 to capture that file.

I do remember installing the huffyuv.inf file.
So no idea why VD1.9 does not show that codec but VD2 does  Huh

I really loath windoze

wish there were hufyuv codecs for macOS capture.

Not sure what/which vfw codecs are. There are lots listed under VD1.9 and (a lot more) under VD2.

You probably would need to use a Windows machine, install the huffyuv codec you used (https://www.videohelp.com/software/HuffYUV/old-versions) and then
Not all older version are compatible with each other.
VirtualDub 1.x should be able to open the file.

Thumbs Up
OK. I managed to rescue that 3 hour capture. This is how:
  • I deleted C:\Windows\System32\HuffYUV.dll.
  • I deleted C:\Windows\SysWOW64\HuffYUV.dll.
  • Download huffyuv-2.1.1 from that link you gave.
  • Installed it (Right-Click HuffYUV.INF and select Install)
  • Then I moved C:\Windows\System32\HuffYUV.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\HuffYUV.dll since my Windows10 is 64bit.
Then ran VirtualDub 1.9.11 and now HuffYUV 2.1.1 was available.
Opened the faulty file using this VirtualDub and magically opens it and play it.
It is now running a Filter to crop it to 688x560.....just have to wait 40 minutes to see the results.

Thanks for the tips
