I've got a very poor copy from VHS that flickers from colour into black and white. Would the DeOldify filter be able to fix this, or would it be better to make the clip black and white and then somehow re-colorize?

DeOldify completely ignores the input chroma and then imagines the chroma.
It does not fix anything, it always imangines an doesn't fix anything. It regarding the chroma flickering, if it's just light flickering other filters might be able to help. Cu Selur

What I need now is a Hybrid colorize filter.
A while back I exported a video to frames, then ran a Photoshop colorize filter on each image, then put the frames back together and the result was OK. Not perfect, but usable. A Hybrid filter (if it exists) would be much easier, I'm sure. What does Peter Jackson use?

DDColor and DeOldify are colorization filters,..
Quote:What does Peter Jackson useMy guess is they use something like Blender or NLE which has object tracking. So you mark the objects, color them and then adjust them. For the coloring itself you could use some special trained ai stuff and then a lot of highly payed human labour.
