I have an MKV episode with subtitles that I'd like to convert to MP4 + custom font subtitle. Is there a workflow for achieving this?
[INFO] Is it possible to use custom fonts for subtitles?

Unlike mkv mp4 only supports:
a. vobsub (idx/sub) or b. ttxt (basically srt + some styling) subtitles. So: not really. Cu Selur

Thanks for clearing that up. Would AVI or MOV help instead of MP4?

No, assuming you don't want to hardcode.
mov is basically mp4, .avi doesn't really support subtitle streams (possible in theory, but I don't think anyone every created a modified demuxer for this). If you want custom fonts and styling, mkv is needed as container. Cu Selur

No, the mentioned video formats do not support custom fonts for subtitles. MKV format is necessary for incorporating custom fonts and styling in subtitles.
