Error on launching on Ubuntu 22
#1
Dear friends,
should it be possible to run ./Hybrid in Ubuntu 22.04?
Newly installed and updated machine in TensorDock: Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS using kernel 5.15.0-94-generic
Installed  lib32stdc++6 additionally

Latest Hybrid package from extracted Hybrid_20240112_Linux.7z
QT version seems to be 5.15.3

I run a xfce4 session and tightvnc server vncserver :1 -geometry 1920x1080 -depth 24
Then access it with vncviewer.

In that vnc session try to run (in terminal) ./Hybrid
Lots of output runs, for a moment Hybrid logo or splash screen is displayed but the output ends with errors:

The X11 connection broke: Maximum allowed requested length exceeded (code 4)
X connection to : 1.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown) .

So as I cannot run it, I cannot change mode or settings, etc.

Other X11 things work - VLC for example.

Sorry, if it is very trivial question, that's the first time I try to use Hybrid.
Generally I'm familiar with linux things Smile

Yes, Hybrid can be started from the terminal.
in https://forum.selur.net/thread-986.html the solution was
Quote:i've uninstalled vnc4server and installed tigervnc :
sudo apt install tigervnc-standalone-server tigervnc-xorg-extension

Now Hybrid starts with xfce desktop ! magic.

Cu Selur
