Strange, works fine here. (with 8k neither VRAM nor RAM usage is high, each ~4-5 GB)
Do the GLSL filters work for you with lower resolution content?
Can you make a debug output when opening the Vapoursynth Preview?
What GPU and GPU drivers are you using?
vs-placebo has no option to select which gpu the glsl scripts are rendered on.
Maybe that could be in issue. (iirc I had problems with GLSL and Intel cards, due to lag of support in the drivers)
What does https://support.zivid.com/en/latest/gett...river.html report about your drivers?
i use the glsl saturation filter all the time. it's the first time it has failed.
plus, just tested it on another file, works there.
unfortunately it's the only 8k file i have on my hd.
the attached log file:
opened preview, works, turn on glsl saturation, press refresh, close.
i have 128gb ram, 4070 super with 12gb vram.
clinfo output attached.
Sadly, the debug output doesn't show any additional useful info.
If you use a lower resolution file, upscale it to 8k and then (adjust filter order) apply the GLSL filter, does that still work?
(works here; upscaled 5472x3078 to 10944x6156 then applied glsl saturation)
i loaded the KSC-20231013-VP-MMS01-0001-SpaceX_Psyche_Helicopter_BRoll_8K-WON_M1708orig.mp4 , previewed it, works, turned on glsl saturation, refreshed, preview closed.
same with ghost towns 8k hevc.mkv...
soooooooooo....... what where can i start troubleshooting this?
I have no clue
Since GLSL itself works and it 'only'(?) fails on 8k content, I suspect there is some resolution limit in the drivers or similar.
Does it work if you downscale to 4k, 5.7K before applying the GLSL filter?
