Set video to "FFvHuff" (it seems to be the Huffyuv codec right?)

FFvHuFF is a based on HuffYUV, not exactly the same, but should work the same.

Which deinterlacer should I use now?

Hybrid will choose QTGMC(Fast) by default, if the source is detected as interlaced.
(You should enable Bob in QTGMCs settings.)

How do I find out if my videos are BFF or TFF (I assumed BFF).

Basic idea: Overwrite scan type to BFF / TFF check the pattern.

What you should do:

• Set the scantype
  
• Check the result / pattern with Vapoursynth Preview
