[GUIDE] Newbie: Deinterlace with Hybrid
#4
Quote:I did not really understand where excately I see the details described in [INFO] Interlacing patterns (in the log?).
You use the 'Vapoursynth Preview' and navigate through the frames of a scene with horizontal motion and look at whether there is motion or not.

Quote: However I deinterlaced the video with BFF and TFF. The BFF version did stutter quite a lot but the TFF version was just fine. Contrary to my belief my first video was TFF ...

When there is smooth motion and fixed pattern of duplicates, the source is TFF.

[quote]After deinterlacing my avi file is about 3x times larger. Is that normal? I would have expected about 2x because of the double amount of frames.
In the 'FFvHuff'-tab: use a color space, that matches your source. I suspect you left it at 4:4:4. (4:4:4 uses 33% more data)

Dev versions are in the 'experimental'-folder of my GoogleDrive, which is linked on the download page.
