[GUIDE] Newbie: Deinterlace with Hybrid
#6
Quote: I use three different codec for three steps. Is that a problem (quality, compatibility)?
Personally, I would do everything after the capturing in Hybrid, but if you are happy with the filtering in VirtualDub that is fine too.
About the codecs Huffyuv and FFvHuff are both losses so they are no problem, Blackmagic SD 8-bit 4:2:2 is not lossless, so I would not use it as intermediate. But if the loss caused by Blackmagic SD 8-bit 4:2:2 is fine for you, that should be no problem.

Quote: Is this the correct sequence (Deinterlace before filtering in Vdub 2)?
Only filtering you usually apply before deinterlacing usually might be de-rainbow filters.
So, the order is fine.
