Proper setting for deinterlacing content. Questions

Selur, a related question:  what do the "field-blended" input type override options do?  I tried forcing field-blended (PAL -> NTSC) and compared the generated VS script to the autodetected (interlaced) version, and the only difference was in the comments.

It basically does nothing aside from telling Hybrid that some sort of deinterlace handling is required, since how to deal with it strongly depends on what the user wants.
