latest versions of Hybrid_dev

Thanks for the tip on changing the style to Fusion, that solved the UI issues. I gathered up a debug report for you for the issue of it stalling on encoding, and I'm attaching it here. Just FYI, this stalling happens on both the stable release and this latest dev release too. But it doesn't happen with every video, just some. Also, this debug report should show it but when attempting to start the job, I got an error saying there was a problem with VSPipe.exe. I've gotten that many times before, but I learned that usually if I just dismiss it and attempt to start the job again, it usually pushes through just fine. Just not sure why it pops up every so often and not at other times.

Probably related to QTGMC with
Preset="Placebo"
which rarely makes sense.
https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/4041...commend-it might be interessting to read.

I assume it's a typo

in the latest Hybrid_dev versions there is this problem

Ah, the background fix for the combo boxes (in Windows and windowsvista style) collides with Windows own styling adjustments.
Uploaded a new dev which should fix it.
Thanks for the reporting.

Problem solved
although I had to disable Eset Security, which prevented the installation.

Thank you.

hasty positive comment

In the last two versions of Hybrid installations,
eset internet security kicks in during installation
Hybrid_dev_2025.12.13 and Hybrid_dev_2025.12.12
even though I added the Hybrid folder to the exceptions
the problem persists
However, with Hybrid_dev_2025.12.09 this problem does not occur.

No clue, I do not think aside from replacing the Hybrid executable anything changed,...

I don't know what happened. I did a fresh install and it seems the problem is solved.
Thank you.

Selur, I took your advice and tried changing the settings from Placebo to Slower and that hasn't fixed the issues (and I never had issues with using placebo settings before). What I notice is that more often than not when processing videos now, when it gets to the stage for encoding the video with ffmpeg, either things progress normally and the progress bar appears at the bottom, the time estimate appears in the window bar at the top, and the video fully finishes encoding normally and everything's perfect (which is about 20% of the time right now), or it seemingly hangs at the encode stage, with no progress bar or time estimate ever appearing, and it never fully finishes. What I have noticed though is that when it appears to "hang," Hybrid is actually processing the video to some extent because I can see the video file in the temp folder grow in size as it tries to process it. But then at the end of processing the video, something happens and Hybrid just fails to go on to the other stages. I've tried about 8 or 9 different videos now so it doesn't appear to be the video files that are the problem. Any other thoughts about what's causing this and how to fix it?
