[HELP] NTSC DVD with a Soft Telecine
#2
Quote:I have a file I extracted from an NTSC DVD that, when inputted into Hybrid, the scan order is changed from progressive to a soft telecine. Content was originally shot on film. I played back file and it's not interlaced.
When overwriting to '(soft) telecine' and using DGDecNV as decoder, shows no combing in the preview, the source is probably soft telecine.
When using progressive (no overwrite) and you see no combing your source is progressive.

Quote: I also need to get the source's 29.97 fps converted to 23.976. Should I check any of the filters in the Speed Change tab and then select my desired frame rate?
not knowing that the source really is, I can't recommend anything there, but using 'Speed Change' doesn't sound like it would make any sense. (haven't seen a DVD source that was 29.97fps created by speedup from 23.976)
