The denoising filter I suggested (DeNoise->QTGMC) is mainly for removing/fixing residual artifacts that might get created through the field matching.
You have to decide whether using Hybrid and/or Neat Video makes sense for your source. Both require proper configuration and testing of setting when used.
There is no correct answer like: you should always use tool xy.
Whether using first need video and then Hybrid or not makes sense can't be answered correctly.
When using filtering in Hybrid, I would usually recommend doing it on the captured source, without prior filtering.
Most sources have different issues, etc. so I would recommend using the Vapoursynth Preview and compare what settings do.

=> use the preview, test different filters and setting to get accustomed to what you can do with Hybrid. (there are additional options that can be enabled under Filtering->Vapoursynth->Misc->UI, but those usually only make sense if you got a decent understanding of Hybrid; which is why they are hidden by default)
