If so yes, if my output fps is 24fps , i make sure the audio speed is adjusted to that new framerate aswell by decimal method ie: 25 > 24..

The source however is 50fps / progressive.. But when i choose 50  > 24 in audio setting, the video plays in slowmotion .

No, i have to use 25 > 24 + pitch correction for AV sync , and as for DeblendS6 the target FPS has to BE 25.000 fps for perfect playback and AV sync  Huh .

Thrust me i want to do it your way, but the settings iam using seems to be the only settings that perfectly works ..  Even when it doesn't make sense ...
Hits makes no sense.
Try the following:
  • load your 50 fps source source
  • set DeblendS6 to 24fps
  • set audio to passthrough
  • configure
  • create your output file
The output should be sync.

I have done EXACTLY ☝🏽 that before already.
The AV is perfect in sync..

But then the video playback slightly stutters from time to time..
And not pleasant to watch anymore, and thus for me unwatchable !!

I have used different modes 1 - 4 though.. And as long i keep 24fps as target , the output file plays bad and has stutters !
The only way to solve this, is to set Fps target to 25.000 for some reason.

But doesn't that make sense some what.. i mean doesnt the filter restores the fps from the original source first ?  Ie: 50 > 25fps (what should have been the fps to begin with once deinterlaced !)  , right?

Thanks anyway,

I mean, in the past hybrid followed always the output path/folder to create and place the debug file.
An full reset wosn't needed to have hybrid creating an debug file in the output folder i have chosen , or automatically is assigned because of the option "output path to source"

Has that changed?

Now, it seems you only can choose a new default path for the debug files just ONCE ☝🏽.
Untill you reset all settings and restart all over again ..  ie: reset all, choose & save  Huh !?

Anyhow, thanks.

Haven't touched the debug creation code for years,.....

Having the DebugOutput in the output folder was always 'buggy' when using different output folders, especially when using processing multiple jobs in parallel.

But you might be right, I will think about removing "Adjust->Output path to source path" or force DebugOutput to be disabled when "Adjust->Output path to source path" is enabled.

Cu Selur

Ps.: uploaded a new dev version where I changed the logic a bit, added an ERROR message and added the users Desktop-folder as fallback. Hopefully, this should always allow the creation of a debug output or annoy the user with error popups.

Dev versions are in the 'experimental'-folder of my GoogleDrive, which is linked on the download page.
Offline between (including) 29th of June and 5th of July => RockHarz Festival

Please NO, don't remove the automation of paths by removing that feature.
That option keeps all files nice and tight together in the same folder 😉.

I would rather see you tap hybrid on the shoulder and point it in the right direction (ie: output paths)  Big Grin👌🏽

err... i'll check the dev out later (currrently doing an heavy job).
I just hope i don't have to use an "popup" blocker  Big Grin

Debug seems to be working again when toggle on / off on the fly with "Hybrid_dev_2026.06.20-20172"

On a side note..

Regarding the other issue's i have reported.
ie: Speed Change not displaying the actual speed & DeblendS6 ..

One or both settings must have corrupted the output file..

The corruption wos:

A. During Video playback from time to time i saw weird huge chunks of square blocked graphic glitches.
And NO, it weren't macro blocks kind of blocks...

I've checked the source to see if it wos there aswel, but the source wos clean (perfect quality)

B. Sometimes weird loud sound poppups came out of my subwoofer, realy annoying

C. Process took over 2hours almost 3 hours

Huh

What I discovered, to my surprise, is:

That the cause was either a specific audio encoding setting.
Or the fact that I was forced to force the output fps via misc > overwrite output due to the fact Speed change in tab Speed Settings wos broken !!

Or both!

I'm not sure, I need to test this more..

What is strange is that the process took almost 3x longer than it should have, and the progress bar only went up to 50% of 100% to process a full job!
I also noticed that the remaining process time was displayed incorrectly!  ie: 03:30:00 start to finish→ job completed at 01:00:00 left !!

From that, I could tell that something was not set up correctly and was causing all those problems!

Now, I think everything is set up perfectly.
The progress bar and remaining time are now displayed correctly.

Now, a full conversion to restore a complete 50-minute episode from SD to FHD (1080p) with ESRgan Upscales + DeblendS6 takes only 70 minutes instead of 150min 🥴👌🏽

EDIT: In the following image you'll see what sort of video distortion i have had using the old settings.
Once i've changed like 2 settings in the audio (pitch toggle=off & DownMix to 5.1).

And did use speed change in filtering tab again, instead of the forced speed change option in the misc tab ("overwrite output") because of the broken (wrong connected!) setting before in the regular place.

Lo & behold, all mentioned problems are gone now..

The Upscaled output plays as perfect as the original source now.
no more graphics glitches, and the pitch from the sound is like the original (no slowdown effect because of the fps difference)

But i STILL have to use 25FPS as an target for DeblendS6 for flawless and in sync video playback though ...  When i put 24.000 value in deblendS6, again choppy video playback..

Example Video Corruption 👇🏽
