Is there any hidden option or anything like that to get the 32bit AviSynth option back for the new Windows release of Hybrid v2026.10.09.1? (When copying in the contents of the "Avisynth32bit_2024.12.15.7z" file)?
Or an alternate Hybrid build that supports it? (I noticed a "Hybrid-2026.10.08.2-x86_64.AppImage" file at the above Google Drive link, but that's for Linux, and I'm not sure the "x86" part of the file name indicates support for 32bit AviSynth.)
I do usually use the 64 bit AviSynth anyways, but sometimes I need to use the 32 bit version of AviSynth for one reason or another. I guess I'll just have to revert to version 2026.03.21.1 for that, if 32 bit AviSynth support is gone for good.
For me, mainly when I want to use AviSynth plugins and filters that don't have working 64-bit equivalents, such as (what I can think of off the top of my head):
amDCT.dll
SplineResize.dll
Toon-v1.1.dll
Deen.dll / deen1b1.dll
DeCrawl.dll
ChannelMixer.dll
NoiseGenerator.dll
ColorBalance.dll
BucketMedian.dll
If you want to use classic Avisynth plugins from the 2000s and 2010s, you need Avisynth 32, because many of these plugins were hand-optimized with MMX/SSE assembly instructions using 32-bit calling conventions. Porting these to x64 requires re-writing the assembly in x64-compatible NASM/MASM or intrinsics, or rewriting in pure C/C++, but most importantly, actually having access to the source code. (Many of these plugins were released as closed-source binaries, making any port impossible without complete reverse engineering, which I am just now hearing may be possible with AI? )

Just for the fun of it I asked claude to compile my a 32bit and 64bit BucketMedian version that works with Avisynth+.
Did a quick test, and it seems to work.
ColorBalance probably also can be easily ported to Avisynth+ and compiled.
amDCT: was ported 2 years ago by pinterf => https://github.com/pinterf/amDCT
SplineResize <- what are you missing there? (I thought fmtconv should cover this)
Problem with the rest is, they are closed source any nobody seems to have any contact to the authors.
NoiseGenerator: there are tons of noise generators out there
ChannelMixer: isn't this just RGBAdjust?
Cu Selur
Ps.: 32bit support will not come back.
