[HELP] Telecine content
#1
Hello,

Living in PAL land I don't come across a whole lot of telecine content so I was hoping to get some advice on the below source file ripped directly from DVD myself and cut using mkvtoolnix:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1pzm-A3...2fxmPKTVd0

I've tried a few different variations of TIVTC Vapoursynth and Avisynth but haven't gotten a result where I don't get some jerkiness, especially in panning scenes. The best result i've had so far is using the default TIVTC Avisynth settings.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Source is flagged as 29.97 interlaced not telecine (3:2 pulldown) so applying IVTC is probably the wrong approach.
Looking through the dvd with running a bobber and also without deintrlacing at all one can see that some parts of the content are normal interlaced and some parts are progressive. (+ some glitched due to bad authoring)
-> Personally I would apply QTGMC and stick with that.

Dev versions are in the 'experimental'-folder of my GoogleDrive, which is linked on the download page.

Thanks for looking into it, I was looking at the telecine option as the analyze option suggested to use TIVTC.

I'll run with QTGMC instead
