Enable Vapoursynth in Hybrid - Linux Manjaro/Arch
#41
Hi, I'm back to work Big Grin

In my Hybrid on manjaro I don't see filter like DPIR in tabs or Real-ESRGAN. How I can fix this?
I use 2022.05.24.1 version.

You can not.
DPIR, RealESRGAN etc. are all tools that are included in the torchAddon for Hybrid which are Windows only and require an NVIDIA card.

"MC Temporal Denoise" with 'very high' settings might work well.
If the cartoon is old, adding Spotless (temporal radius 3 or higher), or KillerSpots might help remove random artifacts.
Would need to see a few seconds sample to really suggest something.

only using Spotless (temporal radius 3 or higher), or KillerSpots it's pretty good image.

Okay, the heavy tracking noise you can only get rid by recapturing with a decent vcr with tbc.
For general denoising: MCTemporalDenoise&Spotless seems to do a good job.
Getting rid of the ghosting is tricky, you could try to first drop the frame rate with sRestore to a value where you don't have the ghosting (if possible) and then use Frame interpolation (FramerRateConverter) to go back to the frame rate you want. For the blue flickering on the right side, 'ReduceFlicker' and 'EdgeFilter' (both restrichted to specific frame range) could help. For sharpening the lines, I would recommend aWarpSharp2.
Here are a few screenshots using the above.

When using Windows, there would be a few other filters available. (especially DPIR and BasicVSR++ when using the torchAddon)
Using Anime4k and Waifu2k as resizers are probably good resizers for such content.
RealESRAN would butcher such content, here are a few GAN based models which could help with the content.
The main issue I see is to get rid of the ghosting and the tracking artifacts as far as possible.

Yes, those should help with some of the artifacts. Smile

ReduceFlicker should be under Filtering->Vapoursynth->Frame->Stabilize (but I'm not 100% sure it was present in your version).
EdgeFixer should be under "Filtering->Vapoursynth->Line->Misc->EdgeFixer" iirc . I used a value of 40 for right.

That's what I thought, I added a few others later. Wink
I can compile a newer build for you tomorrow. (to groggy atm.)
I added ReduceFilter on Jun 1, 2022 (https://github.com/Selur/hybrid-vapoursy...ld-plugins) which is why it's not supported in the 2022.05.24.1 version.
