I have just removed my version of Hybrid to re-install it on another drive.. And decided to get the latest version (2020.01.12.1).

When I run it (Windows 7) it says:

"Closing Hybrid, since its running with administrator rights!"

What does this mean? I know its running with admin rights as my PC only has an Admin user.. But in over 30 prior versions of Hybrid I have never seen this.

Is this intentional behavour? Have I missed something? or is this a bug?

Jon
It's intentional, it changed '2018.10.07.1', searching the forum for 'runAsAdmin' should how to run Hybrid with admin rights, but be aware that it's not designed to run with admin rights and as such I don't recommend it and it might have unintended consequences.

Ps.: you might also want to check the changelog in case something else changed,... (http://www.selur.de/changelog)

Thanks Selur... I had no idea, sorry I missed this.

I was going to say you were wrong as I had been using a 'dev' version that you gave me to fix a fault... But when I looked back at my saved installers that was June 2018.. Where has that 1.5 years gone???

I will have a search of the forum.. If I can, I will do this properly.. But I can't change how I use my PC, as I made it "admin only" when I built it, so I might have to go back to my old "dev" version which served me well .

Cheers

Jon

Edit: Incase it helps anyone in the future, this is the solution
