this installation script still correct or where and how exactly had the AviSynth stuff to be extracted?
Haven't changed anything (that I can remember) in relation to Avisynth (for ages), so assuming the script worked before it should still work.

Tried to install hybrid on ubuntu 18.04. when i start hybrid in terminal there is this error:

i can copy the file hybrid-521 from my ubuntu 16.04 and it starts, buts its still version 2018.06.03.1
Can't say what's happening, but djcj probably can.
As a side note: I plan to update Hybrid on Sunday. (Sadly my main dev machine broke down and I haven't had time so far to fix it,.. buy new hardware etc.)

I will investigate this and see what I can do.
Figured the issue: current release is Hybrid_1806042_64bit_binary_qt521.zip, which is 2018.06.04 revision 2. Previous revision releases has a preceeding underscore. The script checks for Hybrid_180604_2_64bit_binary_qt521.zip. I will fix this.

I'm having a problem for some time. hybrid always starts downloading hybrid.bin even being the final.
I believe the problem is in the hybrid.desktop, since clicking the .bin file opens directly.
