First up, forgive me for not using the correct technical term, as I just woke up.
I've been doing some conversions lately using QTGMC Vapoursynth to deinterlace with Bob. I've tried from both MKV to MKV & MKV to MP4 but I see blocky images appearing on the screen. They are not on the original source, which is uncompressed MKVs directly from DVDs via MakeMKV?
It's happening with just about every video I use, and it happens if I use either NVENC or X264?
Any thoughts???
How does the Vapoursynth Preview look like?
What does the Vapoursynth script you use look like?

The glitches appear in Preview as well. What do I do to send the script as Attachments doesn't recognize xml?
Simply, open the "Vapoursynth Script View", click in it, select everything with 'crtr+a', copy the content with ctrl+c and post the conten inside code-tags.

Yes, that is what I'm encountering exactly, so I'm obviously doing something wrong?
no, that is just a crappy source where the normal methods don't work properly.
