Seems like Hybrid is crashing when loading a global profile:

Note that global profiles should be loaded before loading a source not afterwards,...

Actually, it seems to have been caused by my using the "cut" feature. I changed the time codes I was using, and that seems to have stopped the crrashing. Using the saved profile is fine.
Loading the profile probably somehow triggered the issue when cutting was enabled, happy you found a way to get it working.

, IT'S not POSSIBLE to load any profiles post loading/opening media files at the base tab
Unless you are talking about an old hybrid release that allowed that order of working in the past ...
